A parent or guardian must create and control the household account. Students may use Unspool only with parent or guardian authorization and only inside the household account or another approved education arrangement.
Unspool is licensed for one homeschool household unless we agree otherwise in writing. A parent account may add children taught in that household. Do not share one household account across separate households or resell access.
Parents remain responsible for educational decisions, state homeschool requirements, compliance records, lesson choices, student supervision, reviewing generated lessons, and deciding what work counts for the household's homeschool records.
Unspool is offered by Logerhaus LLC. New households can try Unspool free for 7 days. No payment card is needed to start the trial, and you will not be charged during it or when it ends. One free trial is allowed per household and per email address. When the trial ends, access pauses until you choose a paid plan: Founding Member Monthly at $19 a month or Founding Member Yearly at $99 a year. If you choose a plan during the trial, we save your card and charge it when the trial ends. Your plan then renews each month or year at that price until you cancel. You can cancel any time in your billing settings, and your access continues until the end of the period you paid for. Prices are per household.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Unspool does not store your full card number. When you choose a paid plan, you authorize the first charge and later renewal charges for that plan until you cancel. You are responsible for keeping billing information accurate. Stripe's terms apply to the payment.
Use of Unspool is subject to our privacy policy and children's privacy notice. Parents decide what student information belongs in Unspool and authorize student access. Student information is not sold or used for third-party advertising. See privacy.
Unspool helps organize completed lessons and parent activity of finished and stuck work. Parents decide what records satisfy their homeschool obligations and should save copies outside Unspool before closing an account or deleting information.
Unspool can create lessons from student questions, parent prompts, subjects, and lesson context. Generated content may contain mistakes, omissions, unsuitable examples, or provider errors. Parents must review generated lessons and decide what their children use.
Unspool may use AI providers, video metadata, approved-source video links, image generation, audio generation, or other third-party services to support lessons. Third-party content remains subject to the third party's own terms and availability.
You keep ownership of prompts, student answers, notes, and other content you add, subject to any rights you already granted others. You give Unspool permission to host, process, display, copy, transmit, and modify that content as needed to provide and improve the service.
Unspool software, designs, curriculum structures, generated lesson templates, product names, page layouts, and documentation belong to Unspool or its licensors. You may use them through the service for your household's homeschool use, but you may not copy, sell, or publish the service itself.
Email hello@unspool.net, or use the Stripe billing link in your account settings, to cancel. If you haven't added a card, there is nothing to cancel during the trial. If you have, cancel before the trial ends and you won't be charged. After you pay, canceling stops future charges, and you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. If you ask within 30 days of paying, we will refund you.
Do not put passwords, card numbers, government ID numbers, or private medical details into student questions, lesson prompts, or support messages.
Use the product for your homeschool household. Do not attempt to break the service, bypass security, access other accounts, scrape private content, overload systems, reverse engineer non-public parts of the service, or add unlawful, infringing, abusive, exploitative, or harmful content.
You are responsible for keeping parent credentials private, managing student credentials, and promptly telling us about unauthorized account access. Unspool may suspend or restrict accounts to protect families, students, the service, or legal obligations.
We work to keep Unspool reliable, but no online service is available every minute. Planned maintenance, provider outages, internet problems, security incidents, urgent fixes, or capacity limits may interrupt access or affect generated content.
Unspool may help organize lessons and activity, but it does not provide legal advice, state compliance advice, accreditation, school enrollment, teacher certification, or a guarantee that a record package satisfies any state or program requirement.
Unspool is provided as available and as is, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for every homeschool, curriculum, legal requirement, learning need, or device.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Unspool will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, lost business, substitute services, or educational outcomes.
You may stop using Unspool at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if an account violates these terms, creates risk for students or families, causes service harm, fails to pay applicable charges, or must be restricted for legal or security reasons.
We may update features, pricing, policies, or these terms. If a material change affects existing families, we will give notice in the product, by email, or through another reasonable method. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
Unless a separate written agreement says otherwise, these terms are governed by United States law and the laws of the State of Delaware, where Logerhaus LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
