Imagine you crawl a long, quiet tunnel with a small lamp.
The air is cool.
The rock walls bump and dip. Then, suddenly, horses and bison appear on the stone, painted so far underground that a regular day of walking past would never find them. Nobody put a sign outside. Nobody set them up like pictures in a hallway. If almost no one would stroll by, why make animals here at all? That puzzle is our starting point. We will not pretend we already know one secret answer. We will look at where the pictures live, what animals they show, and how the paint follows the rock, then name what we still cannot be sure of.
